Your scuba diving adventure begins with the choice of how to complete the Knowledge Development portion of the course. This involves independent study using either the PADI elearning or PADI Open Water Diver Crewpak. Ether method develops your familiarity with basic principles and procedures of scuba diving such as; how pressure affects your body, how to choose the right gear and what to consider when planning dives.
Begin your scuba diving adventure on-line at your pace anytime anywhere with PADI eLearning. With this option you will complete most of the academic part of the PADI Open Water Diver course on-line to prepare for the Confined Water & classroom sessions with your Colorado Scuba Center Instructor.
The PADI eLearning online fee of $174 is paid directly to PADI.You will pay a separate course fee for the confined water dives and classroom sessions to Colorado Scuba Center
Your scuba diving adventure with option 2 begins with your choice of the Confined Water/ Knowledge Development sessions you wish to attend' and picking up your PADI Open Water Diver Crewpack and PADI Open Water Diver DVD. You will prepare at home, completing the knowledge reviews at the end of each chapter, five in all. Each knowledge development session will begin with a discussion of the knowledge reviews, followed by an academic presentation and, finally a standard quiz. A final written exam will be given the last day of class.

Confined water training sessions are fun and easy, and teach practical scuba diving skills. Because they are performance based, you get as much time as you need to practice your new skills before open water certification dives to make the transition to open water diving safe and simple.
You will make four scuba dives with your Colorado Scuba Center PADI instructor in the actual diving environment. You will have fun applying and demonstrating the skills you learned in the confined water / knowledge development sessions. You will experience the thrill of visiting the underwater world. These dives are conducted at various dive sites, depending on the time of year of your training.
